My name is Rosie I’m 23 years old and I started travelling in April 2018. I’ve made this blog mainly to help more people travel on a budget, my posts will provide information on how I saved for my trips, budget travelling tips and packing lists.
About me: I studied travelling in college when I was 16 and since then I have always had a passion for travel. I genuinely get this overwhelming feeling every time I sit on a plane or any form of transport knowing I’m going somewhere exciting. Before I made the step to leave my job behind and explore the world I used to go on holiday at least 3-4 times per year. I was obsessed the only thing I regret it going to the same destination when I could have been exploring more places in the world.
I met my boyfriend Paul in March 2016 in a bar in Glasgow, I don’t think I had ever chatted a boy up because I just never had confidence to do it but for some reason this night I did. I think we both said hello at the bar and I made some shitty joke that probably wasn’t even funny but he laughed anyway, my sister in law got his number for me and I txt him drunk that night saying “OI OI blazer boy” (he was wearing a nice grey blazer at the bar) to this day he still slags me for that horrendous chat up line and I’m still mortified but it’s something to laugh about right? Or cringe! Anyway Paul to this day is my best mate and boyfriend wrapped in one and the most genuine guy I’ve ever met and he is on this travelling rollercoaster with me!
We have travelled around Dubai,India,Hong kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia Cambodia, Singapore, Lived and worked in Australia. In total since April 2018 we have travelled 10 countries with a total of 31 destinations. We are currently travelling around Europe I will update the destination list once we have completed our trip.
